Assistant Pool Facility Manager

Senior/Junior Lifeguards

The Town of Oyen is currently accepting application for employment at the Shirley McClellan Aquatic Facility 2015 summer season.  Applicants must have a minimum of a current NLS or Red Cross Instructors Certification and First Aid Certification and will have a clear working knowledge of lifeguarding, pool maintenance and pool safety requirements.  Duties will include but are not limited to the overall aquatic program operation of the pool, performing lifeguard and instructing duties as required, janitorial duties, minor maintenance work, operating all equipment integral to the operation of the pool and any other duty as assigned by the Recreation Director or Assistant Recreation Director.

The Town of Oyen offers financial assistance to current high school and post-secondary students who wish to pursue employment opportunities with the Shirley McClellan Aquatic Facility.  For more information, please contact the Town Office at 403-664-3511.

OYEN - The Big Country Medical Dental Board requires an Administrative Assistant.

This position provides support to the Big Country Medical Dental Board. Duties include; book keeping, invoicing, paying bills, deposits, organizing meetings, taking minutes, Physician recruitment, and assisting with the Board’s buildings (Dental Clinic, Doctor’s House) etc..

QUALIFICATIONS - Secretarial/Administration experience. Computer experience is required. Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are essential.

TAXES/UTILITIES CLERK

The Town Office in the Town of Oyen requi res a

responsible person to assist the Chief Administrative

Officer in the day-to-day operations of the Town which

includes but is not limited to the processing of the

assessment/tax roll, utilities, collection and receipt of

taxes, collection and receipt of water/sewer accounts,

customer service, computer operations, accounting and

general office duties. Experience in the Municipal field

would be an asset.

This position is a permanent full time position, 35

hours per week, and includes an excellent benefit

package. Salary will commensurate with experience.

Employment Opportunity

Oyen and District Family Community Support Services Administrative Assistant/ Volunteer Coordinator Position

35 Hrs. per week (some evening hours), Benefit package available.

Responsibilities:

To perform the necessary receptionist, secretarial and general duties to assist the FCSS Board, director and other staff perform their organizational duties and implementation of special projects.

  • Promote Volunteerism
  • Build Volunteer capacity through training and resources.
  • Provide leadership and advocacy on issues relating to volunteerism and volunteer programs
  • Connect people with opportunities to serve through recruitment and referrals
  • Coordinate FCSS Mentor Program

Qualifications

  • Computer experience with Power Point, Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel
  • Business Administration experiences an asset
  • Must enjoy working with people and demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative team working skills
  • Be willing to enhance skills through learning opportunities
  • Have a Valid Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Must have a Criminal Records Check and an Intervention Check
