Located in East Central Alberta, Trail of the Buffalo is looking for a contract position to provide marketing services to enhance tourism development within our region. This part time position would be ideal for a retiree or a contract professional looking to increase their workload. The contract provides for 8 hours per week reporting to a board of directors. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Key Area of Responsibility:

• The Marketing Coordinator will be expected to increase the Association’s membership. A major focus should be on private industry member and also to retain the current members.
Key Area of Responsibility:
• Provide coordination and advisory support for the Trail of the Buffalo Tourism Association.
• Provide services, information, advice and assistance to existing and prospective members.
• Ensure Community profiles and inventories of attractions/events are listed on Trail of Buffalo website, Travel AB sites, Trail of the Buffalo Social Media Sites and brochures as requested.
• Responsible for project management of all special projects as defined by the board.
• Provide a prospective list including contact information of potential industry/community members annually
• Assisting in planning, development and implementation of marketing activities for the Tourism Association through the development of funding partnerships.
• Preparation of annual budgets with assistance from the executive committee.
• Completion of special projects and all other duties as required by executive and board of directors.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Marketing would be a definite asset
• Excellent written, verbal and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Experience with computer applications
