History

The house is a T. Eaton Company house built in 1917. A lot of the original houses on the prairies were ordered from the catalogue, shipped by train to the nearest depot, where they were collected by wagon, transported to the farm and erected. In 1956 this large 2 ½ story house was purchased by the Roman Catholic board, and moved to town to house the Sisters of St. Benedict. In 1985 the house was sold to Dr. Hoang and moved to its current site on the west edge of Town overlooking the prairies.
