The Oyen & District Memorial Arena was constructed in 1993 after the original Arena burned down. The community fundraised and many volunteer ours were put in to see the completion of the new Arena that we are very proud of. It is a steel structure facility with a NHL size ice surface. Being situated next to the Curling Rink and the Royal Canadian Legion, allows for shared parking. Summer sees the arena being used for such things as the grade 12 graduation ceremonies, Farmers Markets, and the bicycle rodeo. The arena also houses the Recreation Directors office as well as the Fitness Centre.
