The original Oyen and District Golf course opened in 1962. In 1992 the golf course was relocated to its new site where water was available to irrigate and provide for grass greens, trees and water hazards.

This is a challenging 9-hole prairie golf course with grass greens where six holes are affected by water hazards and there are a total of 30 sand bunkers. Total yards (for 9 holes): Gold - 3246; White - 2985; Red - 2666

The Oyen and District Golf Club operate from approximately April 1 through mid-October depending on weather conditions. During the regular season the club hosts a variety of tournaments as well as league play.

Beginners, intermediates and well-seasoned golfers are welcome to join any league. The club has over 100 members who volunteer their time to support the club.

The club has a pro shop which is comprised of all the equipment needed to play the game.
